  1. i watched thunder right up till they dressed up as confederate solders using moddified period guns that fired lazers (i’m not kidding)

    1. The embed is only appearing on the main page right now. Working to fix the problem πŸ™‚ But if you go to the root tvcrimes.net, you’ll see the embed.

      Hope you enjoy it!

      -m,

  2. I vaguely remember this show/movie. This was a really funny conversation and I am excited to see more episodes on this in iTunes.

  3. the funnest part that i remembered later on is the credits actually read Thunder in Paradise II and they never fixed it it i remember being Really confused by that as a kid

  4. I’ve never seen the show but I enjoyed listening to you guys while I did housework. It was good company for me. I liked the casual, chatty feel of it. Thanks! Do more!

  5. Great podcasts guys! Though you almost lost me when Mikey started in on “Michael J Straczynski” (!) but you saved it Wil. Gotta say it made my inner ST/B5 geek (who looks surprisingly like my OUTER ST/B5 geek) *squeeee* to find out that you know JMS! If you have a chance to reply to this Wil, how did you meet JMS?

      1. Oh I know, but you took a poke in jest at JMS so I returned the favour! I’m a rabid fan of B5 and JMS, but not to the point where I feel the need for everyone else to agree with me =)

Again, great podcast, you guys had me laughing and truly enjoyed the relaxed ambiance.

  6. Okay, how awesome is it that as I’m listening to this hilarious podcast, Wil Wheaton randomly gave me an unknowning shoutout! πŸ™‚

      1. Heh. Nah, I thought it was a fun listen. So if there were mean reviews, that was not me.

How can I be angry/annoyed when I am (apparently) an unofficial best friend? πŸ™‚

  7. Proof that I will do whatever Wil says… because let’s be honest – I’m not going to watch Thunder in Paradise and I’m still mad Hulk Hogan commandeered my last name, making my childhood nickname really annoying. But I will listen to Wil talk about stuff any day. And this was still awesome and generally a good way to kill some quiet time at work. Carry on, sirs.

  8. Currently enjoying a Thunder in Paradise viewing party with my roommates in honor of your podcast. This is shaping up into a pretty good lazy Sunday. Thanks for sharing and we’re all looking forward to the next one.

  9. It’s funny–I discovered the Nerdist podcast via Radio Free Burrito and I discovered this podcast via the Nerdist.

I must have seen at least part of one episode of “Thunder in Paradise” when it was on television. I remember watching it because I liked Chris Lemmon in the Fox show “Duet.” This show was obviously for a different demographic. His character, “Bru,” was annoying and the show was not for thinkers. I never watched it again and probably changed the channel after a few minutes. Carol Alt was the best thing about this show, I agree.

My favorite part of this movie, which you guys also mentioned, is when they parked Thunder next to the wall and are running around with their weapons right in front of the “least perceptive people in the history of the universe” as Wil said. They were wearing camouflage pants; maybe that’s why no one saw them.

  10. I just found this through the recommendation on MovieswithMikey. The level of stoke for this podcast is reaching critical levels. Alright, I’mma hit play.
